Uma polêmica lei russa sobre "listas negras" de sites na internet entrou em vigor nesta segunda-feira, com o objetivo anunciado de proteger os menores de idade de "informações perigosas", mas analistas temem que sirva para o governo censurar os internautas.
A lei, promulgada no sábado pelo presidente Vladimir Putin e publicada nesta segunda-feira no Diário Oficial, prevê a criação de um registro federal que regulamente a atividade dos sites com informações proibidas pela lei, o que obrigará os proprietários ou provedores de acesso a fechar os endereços.
Aprovada em meados de julho pelo Parlamento russo, a lei busca reprimir os portais que divulgam pornografia de caráter pedófilo, assim como os endereços que promovem o consumo de drogas ou apresentam conselhos de suicídios, mas muitos analistas suspeitam que o governo deseja censurar a internet na Rússia.
Em menos de três meses, Vladimir Putin, que retornou em maio ao Kremlin, reforçou o controle sobre a sociedade civil russa, após inédito movimento de críticas, com a adoção de uma série de leis consideradas repressivas pela oposição.
