Nintendo anuncia nova consola portátil 3DS com telas maiores(Nintendo announces new handheld 3DS with larger screens)

Nintendo anunciou nesta quinta-feira (21) uma actualização do seu portátil 3DS com telas 90% maiores que o modelo actual, conforme a companhia.

Chamado “3DS XL” nos Estados Unidos, e “3DS XL” na Europa, a consola portátil terá uma tela 3D superior de 4,88 polegadas, maior que a consola actual, de 3,53 polegadas. A tela inferior terá 4,18 polegadas – o modelo padrão tem 3,02 polegadas.

O novo aparelho também vai pesar 336 g e terá uma bateria maior, que permitirá jogar até 6,5 horas de jogos em 3D, contra 5 horas do portátil actual. O dispositivo ainda vem com um cartão de memória SD de 4 GB e estará disponível em vermelho, azul ou cinza.

O 3DS XL chegará aos Estados Unidos por US$ 200 em 19 de Agosto, mesma data do lançamento do jogo "New Super Mario Bros. 2". Na Europa, o aparelho estará disponível a partir de 28 de Julho, ainda sem preço definido.

No Japão, o portátil vai custar US$ 236.

“Havia demanda por uma tela maior, e por isso estamos prontos para responder com um modelo com variação de tamanho”, disse o presidente da Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, em um vídeo de divulgação do portátil. "Poderá desfrutar de imagens 3D poderosas”.

Nintendo announced on Thursday (21) an update of its portable 3DS screens with 90% higher than the current model, according to the company.

Called "3DS XL" in the United States, and "3DS XL" in Europe, the handheld will have a 3D screen top of 4.88 inch larger than the current console, of 3.53 inches. The bottom screen will be 4.18 inches - the standard model is 3.02 inches.
The new unit also will weigh 336 g and has a larger battery, allowing up to 6.5 hours of playing 3D games, compared to 5 hours of portable stands. The device also comes with an SD memory card of 4 GB and is available in red, blue or gray.
The 3DS XL will come to the United States for $ 200 on August 19th, same date of release of the game "New Super Mario Bros. 2." In Europe, the device will be available from July 28, still no set price. 

In Japan, the laptop will cost $ 236.

"There was demand for a larger screen, and so we are ready to respond with a model with variation in size," said Nintendo President Satoru Iwata in a promotional video of the laptop. "You can enjoy powerful 3D images."
