Nesta quinta-feira, a Lenovo anunciou o seu primeiro tablet desenvolvido especialmente para rodar o Windows 8, o ThinkPad Tablet 2. O dispositivo chegará ao mercado em outubro, quando também será lançado oficialmente o novo sistema operacional da Microsoft.
O novo ThinkPad tem tela de 10.1 polegadas, espessura inferior a 10 milímetros, pesa cerca de 600 gramas e vem com o processador Intel Atom. Além de ter conectividade 3G, também capta sinal 4G. A bateria pode durar até 10 horas entre um carregamento e outro.
Compatível com os novos aplicativos para Windows 8, o dispositivo, voltado ao público corporativo, também rodará programas como o editor de imagens Adobe Photoshop, o gerenciador financeiro Quicken, o software de contabilidade TurboTax e vem com suporte integral dos programas do pacote Microsoft Office.
O tablet tem display multitoque, que também pode ser usado com uma caneta opcional que possibilita captação de assinaturas digitais e até anotações feitas à mão. Ainda vem com uma câmera frontal e outra traseira, e porta HDMI.
Em nota, o vice-presidente da unidade de negócios do ThinkPad, Dilip Bhatia, disse que o novo produto é fruto de um trabalho conjunto entre Lenovo, Microsoft e Intel, acrescentando que a nova geração de PCs da Lenovo também está sendo desenvolvida especialmente para rodar Windows 8.
