Porto Alegre recebe nos dias 30 e 31 de agosto o CTO da Mozilla e criador da linguagem JavaScript, Brendan Eich. Eich, que também é cofundador do projeto Mozilla.org, vem pela primeira vez à América Latina para participar do BrazilJS, que espera reunir mil pessoas para discutir a linguagem JavaScript na capital gaúcha.
"O evento é focado principalmente para desenvolvedores, tanto mobile quando de aplicativos. O JavaScript está em ascensão, e nós queremos mostrar até onde ele pode ir", afirma Felipe Moura, um dos curadores do evento, que está na segunda edição. No ano passado, a conferência reuniu 600 pessoas em Fortaleza, o que deu ao BrazilJS o título de maior evento de JavaScript do mundo.
Além do CTO da Mozilla, o evento traz ao País outros cinco palestrantes internacionais e conta com integrantes da Mozilla, Twitter, Opera e jQuery, além de outros seis brasileiros.
As inscrições podem ser feitas pelo site do BrazilJS, onde também está dispónível a programação completa. O evento acontece no Teatro do Bourbon Country, em Porto Alegre.
