Uma passagem só de ida… para Marte!(A one way ticket ... to Mars!)

Buzz Aldrin, piloto do módulo lunar que pousou na Lua com Neil Armstrong, já diz a muito tempo que, se o ser humano pretende pisar em Marte, a passagem tem que ser só de ida. E assim será!

Parece loucura, sem dúvida nenhuma, mas será feito: uma nave tripulada será lançada em uma viagem só de ida para Marte em 2023. Bas Lansdorp, o holandês fundador da Mars One, disse recentemente ao site FoxNews.com que sua empresa está planejando uma missão tripulada para Marte. Quando questionado a respeito, ele frisou:

“Nós enviaremos humanos para Marte em 2023. Eles viverão lá pelo resto de suas vidas. Haverá um habitat esperando por eles e continuaremos enviando quatro pessoas a cada dois anos”.

O habitat contará com diversas estruturas que a Mars One lançará antes de 2023. Em 2016, a empresa planeja lançar a primeira nave com suprimentos e depois disso, em 2018 será lançada uma sonda.

A ideia é ir construindo aos poucos um ambiente onde as pessoas realmente possam viver, permitindo inclusive que a tecnologia criada aqui seja reproduzida por lá, para que uma volta a Terra se torne possível um dia.

Acho isso um tanto quanto difícil de ser realizado e a chance dos astronautas que estiverem nessa missão serem os primeiros humanos a morrerem em Marte são enormes, mas em nome da tecnologia e de acreditar que um dia visitaremos outros planetas, eu darei meu apoio moral e realmente vou torcer para dar certo.
