O grupo Lenovo e a japonesa NEC estão a planejar desenvolver tablets conjuntamente, noticiou o jornal Nikkei.
As companhias, que já possuem uma parceria para desenvolver computadores pessoais, estão colaborando em pesquisa e desenvolvimento de tablets, afirmou o presidente do conselho da joint venture Lenovo-NEC, Roderick Lappin, ao jornal.
As duas unidades da joint venture - a NEC Personal Computers and Lenovo Japan - vendem tablets separadamente actualmente, disse o Nikkei.
A Lenovo, segunda maior fabricante de PCs do mundo, e a NEC firmaram a parceria nas operações japonesas em Julho de 2011.
