A HP anunciou os novos Thin Clients HP T610 e HP T510, com processadores Dual-Core, gráficos AMD Fusion APU ou VIA ChromotionHD 2.0 e indicados para ambientes empresariais.
Os novos HP T610 e HP T510 são indicados para ambientes empresariais onde os funcionários acedem a aplicações remotas e a desktops virtuais, assegurando aos utilizadores o acesso a aplicações partilhadas e aos dados do datacenter.
São os primeiros thin clients a incluir um Trusted Platform Module, um chip de segurança integrado de criptografia, que assegura o acesso autorizado a redes, de acordo com as exigências de certificação da Trusted Computing Group.
O HP T610 HP tem um processador Dual-Core AMD Fusion G-series a 1,65 Ghz, gráficos AMD Fusion APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) com suporte para DirectX11, AMD Turbo Core, refrigeração passiva e HP Active Thermal Management que impede que o dispositivo deixe de funcionar devido ao sobreaquecimento.
O HP T610 vem com duas configurações de chassis: a versão Standard e a versão Plus que disponibiliza portas adicionais, gráficos quad-head e opções de conectividade compatíveis com placas de rede de fibra e suporte wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n com antena dupla.
O HP T610 trabalha com várias soluções de gestão de thin clients, incluindo o Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded Standard 2009 e HP ThinPro (baseado em Linux). Estão também disponíveis configurações que utilizam a HP Smart Client Technology para gestão zero-touch que permite configurá-los como zero clients.
No caso do HP T510, as características incluem o processador Dual-Core X2 VIA Eden a 1 GHz U4200, suporte de 2 ecrãs e gráficos VIA ChromotionHD 2.0.
Com as ferramentas HP Easy Tools, o HP T610 e o HP T510 são facilmente configurados, e incluem o software de gestão remota HP Device Manager. Tanto o HP T510 como o HP T610 permitem aos administradores simplificarem as implementações e gerirem thin clients com o MS System Center Configuration Manager. Com o recém-lançado HP Imaging Plug-In para Microsoft Windows Embedded Device Manager 2011, os clientes podem facilmente espelhar o HP WES7 com base thin clients. Ambos são ainda optimizados para compatibilidade com software de virtualização, incluindo Citrix XenApp e XenDesktop, Microsoft RDP 7 e VMware View.
