É bastante recorrente lermos notícias de telemóveis, smartphones, entre outros aparelhos electrónicos que explodem, incendeiam ou estoiram sem um motivo aparente, muitas vezes pondo em causa a segurança e saúde do seu utilizador. Desta vez foi no Colorado, USA, onde um iPhone 4 incendiou enquanto a sua bateria carregava.
A notícia, relatada pelo Mashable, revelou o incidente que aconteceu no Colorado, nos Estados Unidos. A proprietária do iPhone 4, de 51 anos encontrava-se a viajar pela Costa Leste, e sozinha a dormir num hotel com o smartphone ligado à bateria através de um cabo da Apple na mesa de cabeceira, a qual se encontrava “de 30 a 35 centímetros da sua cabeça”
Pelas 6:30h da manhã, a proprietária, que preferiu não se identificar sentiu um cheiro estranho, escaldaldante e estalidos. De seguida ouviu “não uma explosão, uma espécie de torresmo” e o quarto cheio de fumo. A senhora caracteriza que “era um cheiro terrível, podre, quase como se estivessemos a ingerir algum género de plástico”, referiu por telefone.
Ela segurou no iPhone 4 com a ajuda do computador, e seguidamente colocou-o na pia do hotel. Segundo o electricista as tomadas estavam a funcionar perfeitamente, e o problema só podia ser do aparelho ou do carregador.
A proprietária referiu que comprou o iPhone 4, de cor branca, há cerca de um ano, numa loja da Apple, em Colorado. Referindo que a Apple não deu a devida atenção e importância a casos semelhantes de outros iPhones, a senhora decidiu dirigir-se logo à Mashable de forma a divulgar a situação e torná-la conhecida.
Pode parecer que é o primeiro iPhone 4 que entra em combustão, mas a verdade é que já há conhecimento de outros casos no Brasil e na Austrália, no ano de 2011.
No entanto, a Mashable já entrou em contacto com a Apple que ainda não teceu qualquer comentário oficial.
