A Vodafone acaba de lançar um serviço que ajuda a encontrar, bloquear e limpar remotamente o conteúdo pessoal do seu telemóvel, em caso de perda ou roubo, usando um PC: o Vodafone Protect.
O Vodafone Protect está disponível para smartphones Android e BlackBerry e foi desenvolvido em parceria com a McAfee. Para usufruir deste serviço, basta que o cliente da Vodafone faça o download da aplicação através do envio de um SMS gratuito para o número 12345 com o texto ‘PROTECT’.
Uma vez instalada a aplicação no telemóvel, será possível aceder a https://protect.vodafone.pt num PC e visualizar a informação sobre o local onde se encontra o seu telemóvel. Poderá ainda bloqueá-lo para que não possa ser usado por outras pessoas, fazer soar um alarme, no caso de achar que o telemóvel perdido está próximo, e limpar o conteúdo pessoal (SMS, fotos, vídeos, etc.) para proteger a sua privacidade.
